Sunday 13th May – 50km Route
The course is not common with the 25km route and has changed from last years Classic route. It has the full spectrum of conditions in the plantations and expands into more opens grass veld with magnificent views of the Muden valleys.
More speedy down hills, more single track and more thrills over all. Water tables are spread along the course.
Prize giving will be as soon as possible after winners are home. Short and sharp.
25km Intermediate Route
This is a scenic yet challenging route that offers intermediate riders a taste of all that Classic mountain biking is really about over a shorter distance of 26 km. Challenging but easily attainable – if you’ve done your homework!
This 26 km route is independent of the 50 km Classic route. It will give riders who are in the transition between shorter and Classic rides some insight into the bigger league. The ride traverses a combination of open forestry roads and rough forest tracks interspersed with more technical (rocky) single track and some fast open down- hills.
There will be water tables along the route.
10km Family and 3km Fun Ride
Start: 9:00am and 9:15 am for the 3km Fun ride
Aimed at the novice cyclists who want to test their skills.
The course is all on open road with no technical sections. There are small hills and lots of flat and easy going down hills. A very easily ride-able course with lovely views and scenery overlooking Greytown.
There will be a water table along the route and will be marshals and sweeper vehicles. Supporters can walk the course.
